Sam Hammer is a professional surfer, born and raised in Lavallette, New Jersey. He spent his career traveling to surf, competed in various competitions including the ESPN X-Games and New Jersey Grudge Match and is consistently featured in various surfing media outlets. His expansive wave knowledge as well as understanding of weather patterns and swell make him one of the most notable East Coast surfers.  He has surfed for Billabong for over 20 years and is currently also sponsored by Firewire surfboards as well as Playa Bowls. In 2017, he starred in Under An Arctic Sky, a surf film captured during Iceland’s most severe blizzard to date, which was directed by Chris Burkhard and debuted at the  Tribeca Film Festival.
